OVERWEIGHT.

I have been at the doctors for this pregnancy 5,397,871 times.  It is, by far, the hardest one yet for me.  And that says a lot.  But at my last appointment, nothing was said about my weight. NOTHING.  So I thought- sweet.  Homegirl thinks I'm good to go.

Wrong.

When I got home and read the visit summary, under my diagnoses there were two things written.  One of those things was OVERWEIGHT.

Really?  Why do they have to effing capitalize it?!  I mean COME ON.

I get really big when I am pregnant.  REALLY BIG.  I birth very large children.  VERY LARGE.  I also continually repeat myself for emphasis.  FOR EMPHASIS.

So I am not that worried about it.  I always lose the weight after the baby, and so who really cares anyway.  As long as I watch what I eat, control my blood sugar, husband doesn't leave his big fat wife, and this baby is in the clear, than I am good.

In the meantime though- did you know that it is Meyer lemon season?!  You know what that means?  Meyer Lemon Custard Tarts.  They are everywhere!

Except in my mouth.

And that my friends, is a problem.

xoxo,
(The ever Expanding) J.Danger

Mmmm...love Meyer lemon anything! I got really, really big when pregnant, too, and it never led to anything except big babies. So I hope you get to enjoy at least one of those tarts!

Isn't that one of the great things about pregnancy? You get to get all big? That is RUDE! I'm sure you're perfect! <3

Wow, that's kind of obnoxious. It would be nice if the doctor just said you need to take care that you don't gain too much or something else suitably not rude.

I say enjoy Meyer Lemon whatever! :D

The capitalisation seems a bit unnecessary and cruel! Have a lemon tart and forget about it.....

Liss- they are! You should make some for you and David!

Paula- you know, with Tomas and Oliver I waited till labor to find out. But I told Cory he could have this one. So, not for a few more weeks, but we will know ahead of time!

Can I have some of your belly?! I'm 5 months and nothing. Unless you count the belly pics that are taking AFTER I eat dinner, at night. LOL. :(

Screw the doctor. You just have healthy babies, that's all. :)

Enjoy your treats!

Oh, I know. Why do they have to discuss such things with emotionally fragile women who are SUPPOSED to gain weight in order to have healthy children. I think the weight issue should just be completely off the table until I am at 100 plus pounds gained and then, only if you are polite, can we talk about it, Doctor Rude Pants.

Can you tell I also get VERY LARGE when pregnant. Grr.

Is that your husband, Downstairs Danger?? Dude, that is so cute.

And isn't that the thing about pregnancy, is that you get to put on weight? I mean, come on! Tell your doc to STUFF IT.

Oh, and I forgot. Heidi Klum can bite me with her post-baby-Victoria's-Secret-fashion-show-seven-weeks-after-giving-birth-to-her-third-child abs.

I have never heard of these Meyer Lemon thingies that you speak of. As a fan of all things lemon, I am quite intrigued!

The baby weight thing is a mystery. My wife actually came out of her first pregnancy with a net loss in weight, 'cause she had the preggo diabetes and nursing burned off a lot too. Then with the twins, she was Brick House. No diabetes, though. Go figure.
